My new man

This girl is the proud new owner of a Mac!  I've grown up in the PC world and was ready to try Apple!  It has yet to disappoint.

This is the lovely display of packages that greeted me after work one day!  (My happy dance was in fully swing!)

My new man, Mac.  Our relationship has taken off surprisingly well, he has great communication skills.  Something you need in your man.

This weekend there was plenty of this, spending time with the guys.  Arnold Palmer and trusty Mac, they have both stolen my heart

As evidence by the photo below I also have learned how to use photo booth :)

Tomorrow it's back to work for me (along with just about every other American.)  Mondays are field trips for us and we will be camping out at the beach all humid day long.  I can assure you I will be spending my day in the water with the kiddos and layers of sunscreen on my nose!

On another note have you noticed something?  I have a lovely new button which I'm quite proud of, and I'm almost to 20 followers!! 20!!!  Yes it's only 20, but it's quite big for this little blog!!!

can you spell weekend?!

The weekend is here!  I love my job don't get me wrong, but sometimes I really just need time to regroup and not do anything of much importance.  Here's to a great weekend in the making, and hopefully some blogging too!

9 pm

(big deep breath ahhhhh.........) now I feel better.  I've been so tired, blogging really hasn't been on my mind recently.  Yesterday I woke up at 6 for work and got home from school in the evening at 10.  I made a promise to myself this morning as I groggily made lunch for the day, that I'd be in bed by 9 tonight.  I plan to follow through :)

On a different note I've noticed myself slipping into a mind set of complaining, but I'm trying to keep a thankful attitude.  Thankful for my current job that pays well, thankful for a supportive family, thankful for a car to drive, and thankful to attend school.  Even after I think of all these things and more, the little things I'm so ready to complain about don't seem so major as before.

Well off to lovely sleep and a thankful heart in progress!

4th of July recap

Our fourth of July wasn't just one day of events, but more like a whole weekend of relaxing and spending time with family and friends.  Here are some of the highlights of our 4th!

***
Fairygirl loved our friend's pool, it was her first time in water above her head so the little ducky quickly became her friend!

Soccergirl trying her best to stay cool in the shade while we had our picnic lunch

We had some heat for the 4th but with a nice cool lemonade in hand it was bearable

Littleman really likes music, he's a man of many different genres of music and always ready to dance.

Fairygirl was a very excited little girl, she had music to dance to and ice cream to eat!

***

We tried to make a heart shape out of sparklers and as you can see it didn't quite work

***

but we had better luck with a start shape :)

as with every good 4th of July, our day ended with blankets and fireworks!

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July as much as my family did!  Can't believe it was almost a week ago, summer is going fast!

*** these pictures were taken by this lovely. Yes I put my water mark on them but that's just for my family's safety.  If you don't follow her blog you are missing out!!

Just have one song for today.  I was singing along to this tunes while I was driving home from class tonight.  Nothing that some Ingrid Michaelson to help the drive home!

Had a great fourth of July!  One that will go down as pure crazy fun!  Looking forward to sharing bites and pieces of it with you through this week!

"Posterity: You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom.
I hope you will make good use of it."
-John Quincy Adams

Happy fourth of July!!  I'm off to the park to celebrate our nations freedom!  Enjoy your day and remember the reason for the celebration, celebrate what our fore fathers established through the grace of God!
