MaryRose

For our last photography assignment, I had to choose a staff member for a photoshoot.  I couldn't think of anyone better than MaryRose, love this girl, her joy flows directly from Christ!  I can't wait to see how God continues to use her to further the Kingdom.

The icing on the cake?  This lady is one of my outreach leaders to India, can't wait to grow in our friendship while sharing the Light in India!  Fourteen days!!

D - 76

Final project for my into to film class, by far my FAVORITE class ever!!  After classes on Thursday night, as I would make the thirty minute drive home, my head would be exploding with endless creative possibilities.
I have fallen in love with film, there's just something about manually capturing your photograph, developing your negatives, and then enlarging the photo just so.  If only photo labs and enlarging paper were cheaper, I don't think I would ever head back to the digital world.

I've not only started dappling in film but also in manual, ekk!

Black Eyed Susans

These black and yellow ladies, for some reason, today they reminded me of a bold fire for Christ.
They are never ashamed of who they are, or their color, even though nothing around them compares to their color.
They don't ask God why, or how, they praise Him through their uniqueness in confidence of God's planning.

In these last two pictures I tried a new technic, and I'm not sure what I think of it guess I'll just need more time playing around with it.

The Seeds of Today

Our actions, thoughts and dreams, are the seeds that blossom into the reality of tomorrow.

What type of reality are you planting today?

Adventure in the D

This was where I spent my Saturday morning, The Eastern Market!  I'm proud to also add that we did not get lost on the way down, first time driving into the city for me.

Hello little city pigeon, you know you're a country girl when you get excited seeing a common city bird.

A cow made of vegetables?  Would seem out of place anywhere else but at the Market.

The meet-up location for the day, "shed 3," sounds a little shady if you ask me.

You know the mushrooms are fresh when there's still dirt on them.

I'll admit, I was creeping on this cutie and his orange slice.

Next time I go to The Eastern Market, one of these guys are coming home with me!

You surprised me Eastern Market, I greatly under estimated your awesomeness and I will be back.

Going Old School..

With this beauty, I got the Fujifilm Instax Wide Camera!  I was so excited when I got it for my birthday (plenty of hints had been dropped let me tell you :)

I was just a little giddy with my first picture, can't wait to add to my collection!

Weekend Wrap Up

The sun is shining,
the windows are open,
the birds are singing,
a nice way to end the weekend if you ask me!

Linking up with these lovely ladies for the day!

the result of an extended weekend

I did a wall make-over in my bedroom!  I've wanted to create a full wall collage for a while, but I didn't really know how i wanted it done.  When I found a wall collage on pinterest that didn't seem too hard, didn't require weird tools and looks pretty quick I knew it was for me!  I rolled up my sleeves, pulled out the hammer and went to town!

This is what had been staring at me every time I'd enter the room, just screaming for something new.

Notice the following: 1) project took all afternoon 2) my bed got increasingly messier as the project continued  3) and I used a tape measure, and hammer correctly, yeah!  Thanks Dad for teaching this girl how to comfortably handle tools.

I love the fact that even though the twine is semi permanent, the pictures can be swapped in and out as much as I want. I won't constantly have to redo my whole wall, just take down a paper clip and change the picture!
